  1. BREATHLESS by Lurlene McDaniel
This book is told by 4 people- Travis, Emily, Darla, and Cooper. Travis is a really good diver but he gets bone cancer at the beginning of the book and the doctors have to cut off his leg. He then has to go through chemo and gets sicker and sicker. Emily is his sister and she gets Darla(his girlfriend) and Cooper(Travis' best friend) to stick by Travis. Eventually Travis decides that he does not want to die in the hospital where machines will try to keep him alive. He plans his own death and trys to get Cooper to help him. They will go out to the lake and Travis will 'accidently' drown. Darla and Emily find out but they decide not to try to stop Travis. It gets to be the week before they are going to go to the lake but Travis has a stroke and is taken to the hospital. He is so sick that the doctors plan to take his other leg off. That night he dies. The last chapter tells you that someone(you never find out who) puts insulin in his IV lines to kill him.(Travis had talked about doing this to himself and had wanted to).

I didn't like how Travis wanted to die which is pretty much suicide.

  3. Insomnia
    Stephen King
This book was about a man, Ralph Roberts, who started having sleep troubles. He discovered that he could see auras and other amazing things. Afterwards he met the Fates (originally Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos from Greek mythology) and discovered that because he had seen Atropos and interferred in his business, he and his friends' lives are in danger and unless he can stop Ed Deepneau from bombing an pro-abortion gathering, Atropos will succeed in taking 2000 lives. But that's not what Clotho and Lachesis are worried about, their only concern is a young boy named Patrick who would one day be the end of Ralph Roberts.

This is an amazing book possibly one of Stephen King's best, I recommend it to anyone who wants a suspensful, and semi-disturbing read.
