Storybook Writing Contest



To celebrate Earth Day, Quarryville Library announces it's second annual Storybook Writing Contest. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to write and illustrate their own book based on the theme:
"TRASH TALK"
Suggestions include:
How can you reduce your use of environmentally harmful things?
What items can you reuse in your household?
What items can you recycle?
What is a landfill and what kinds of items go into one?
How long do things stay in a landfill?
Use your imagination, anything about trash and the environment counts!

Rules and guidelines for contest entries, as well as entry forms can be found at library on the sign up sheet table.

Entires due by: Saturday, April 11th 2009
Winners announced at Earth Day at the Library Saturday, April 25th 2009
