Family Place Workshops
Join us for a five-week series of parent-child early learning play time! A fun hour complete with books, blocks, puzzles, songs and other interactive toys. Plus each week we welcome a special community guest available to answer questions about development, nutrition, early literacy and many other topics. Appropriate for ages 6 mo. - 3 years. Tuesdays 1/20 – 2/17, 6:30 – 7:30pm Wednesdays 1/21 – 2/18, 10:30 – 11:30am
Valentines Day the Chocolate Way – A Chocolate Party
It’s the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Compete in contests like “The Great Hershey Kiss Race” and “Name That Chocolate Bar.” We’ll also be testing your chocolate trivia knowledge, playing “Chocolate Bingo” and (can you believe it?) there’s more chocolate surprises in store! Appropriate for ages 8 and up.
Saturday, February 14th at 2:00pm
Gaming Night
Drop in, hang out and play some video games on a HUGE screen. The library supplies an X-box 360 and a Wii, plus guitar hero, rock band and DDR. Play our games or bring some of your own! Every third Thursday of the month, February 19th from 4:00pm-8:00pm
Build an Igloo in the Library
We’ve been collecting empty gallon jugs for months now to accumulate enough to build a life-size igloo. Our goal is 500 jugs so if you’ve got some at home, bring them in! Then join us as we construct our indoor igloo for all to share! We’ll need lots of helpers plus there will be icy activities for all ages! You can even personalize your own “ice block” to put in the igloo! Saturday, February 28th starting at 10:30am and lasting until we are finished!
