January Programs

Here is a look at the programs coming up in January.  If you're like me and need a calendar to keep your life straight we have two options for you.  First, you can check out the link on the right side labeled "Quarryville Library Calendar of Events."  This link will not only show you youth events but all programs the library will be hosting in January.  Second, you can stop by the library and pick up a paper copy of our January Children's Calendar, which only lists youth activities on it.

Story Times:
3 Year Olds
Mondays 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9
10:30am to 11:30am (approx.)

4 to 5 Year Olds
Tuesdays 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10
10:30am to 11:30am (approx.)

18 months to 3 Years Old
Fridays 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13

Family Movie Night "Wall-E"
What if mankind had to leave Earth and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?  Bring the family to watch this heart-warming new Disney-Pixar movie sure to become a classic.
Monday, January 5th at 6:30pm


Gaming Night
Drop in, hang out and play some video games on a HUGE screen.  The library supplies an X-box 360 and a Wii, plus Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and DDR.  Play our games or bring some of your own!
Every third Thursday beginning January 15th, 4:00pm - 8:00pm


Family Place Workshops
Join us for a five-week series of parent-child early learning play time!  A fun hour complete with books, blocks, puzzles, songs and other interactive toys.  Plus each week we welcome a special community guest available to answer questions about development, nutrition, early literacy, and many other topics.  Ages birth to 3 years.
Tuesdays 1/20 - 2/17, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Wednesdays 1/21 - 2/18, 10:30am - 11:30am


Work and Play in Colonial Times
Learn about the "good-old-days" from our friends at the Landis Valley Museum.  Participants can try their hand at carding wool, grinding corn and playing historical games among other things.  A family friendly hour filled with good old-fashioned fun!

Winnie-the-Pooh Story Time
That's right, everyone's favorite bear will leave the Hundred Acre Woods and stop by the Quarryville Library for some fun.  Stories, crafts and lots of fun are in store at this special story time.

Family Board Game Night
Quarryville Library will soon offer board games to borrow!  Join us for Family Board Game  Night to launch this new service.  Our selection will include games like: Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land, Cranium, Life, Shrek Operation, Twister, Yahtzee, Sorry, Clue, Scene It Disney Edition, Monopoly, Scrabble, Scrabble Jr., Risk, Battleship, Parchessi, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Chinese Checkers and many more!

Be the first to play our games!  Those who attend Family Board Game Night will get first choice at which game they would like to borrow.
Wednesday, January 28th at 6:30pm.
